Dealing With Contact Form Spam Email
23rd May 2006

It started as a trickle. I noticed that I was receiving one or two spam emails via my ‘contact me’ page. Then it started to grow. At the rate of several a day and then several an hour. So, after I cleaned out the latest culprits, I went looking for a solution.
My first stop through the WordPress support site search engine was on this page. Through this insightful post and discussions in the comments, I found a possible solution in Bad Behavior, a plugin designed to block spammers from reaching a site. So, after intrepidly reading through the instructions, I downloaded and installed on my site.
So far so good. No more spam emails!
At least not in the past twelve or so hours! I hope it doesn’t block out other good stuff in the process!
