Jazz and Weddings - Glimpses of Heaven

In a world that seems continually drifting further away from the kingdom of God, while at the same time increasingly bombarded by superficial images of Christian representation and symbols in society that distort visions of His kingdom, how shall we who follow Jesus Christ represent Him?
Do we put up walls, set up pre-conditions, and raise the bar so that it becomes something of a spiritual attainment to enter into a relationship with God? Do we hinder people from coming to Jesus, and shut ourselves from the seeing God at work in our world today and so miss glimpses of heaven on earth in the everyday events around about us?
Or do we find opportunities to celebrate the kingdom of heaven amongst us? I recently came upon two heart warming stories at emergent-us that encourage me to think that we cannot only do this but there is a growing movement of people around the world who is introducing people to the vastness of God’s kingdom.
