    New Blog Showcase!

    14th January 2006

45928.jpgEven as I am messing around the blog, trying out a new theme, and making modifications, I have a brave new BlogExplosion “Rent My Blog” tenant. So, in spite of all the construction noise and dust around here, I will take a moment to point your attention to this week’s showcase, Jeremy C. Shipp’s blog, “Haunted House Dressing“.

The blog showcases his writing and also promotes his work. Seems like he is a prolific writer. There are interesting bits on his blog too. Here is a sampling:

The day that I’m thinking of, I was walking down a street that I’ve walked on hundreds of times, but still have never taken the time to learn what the street is called. It’s the street with the cactus garden, anyway. Tiny cactus, that smurfs would drink from, if they were ever lost in the desert without any water. But maybe they can’t drink cactus. Maybe they need blueberry juice, the way pandas need bamboo and otaku need Naruto.

It probably means something. And, despite what I said in the post about Brokeback Mountain, there is probably a sinister undercurrent message underneath it all. Some kinda agenda going on there. So, you are forewarned. Go drop in and visit anyway. Check it out. Tell Jeremy the Bloke sent ya. Then again, better not. He might make a character out of me!

NOTE: For those who placed bid on my rent offer and received a “You were rejected” email, please note that I typically accept the first person to place a bid on the offer. Thank you for your bids. Please try again next time!
