What comes to mind when you think of the word “Leader?”

Do you think of a particular person? Gandhi? Lincoln? Who? Or perhaps, a quality, a character trait, or a set of qualities? What in particular? What synonyms do you think of? A Commander? A Manager? Or A Mentor? What images fill your mind?

A while back, before I joined 
BlogExplosion, ie before I get eager traffic-credit-collectors clicking and waiting their 30 seconds on my blog,I posted this question: "Do you consider Hitler a Leader?" Then, not many responded to the question (probably not many saw the question). Now that I have increased traffic, hopefully I can get more to respond. Perhaps you would like to add to the comments and let me know what you think in regards to that question, as I would like to develop a whole series of posts on this topic, and hopefully I get to interact with a lot of people regarding some of the questions and issues raised by leadership and ethics.
